As communicators, do we know where we are heading? Huge changes in the last 20 years have made amateur radio and the world in general awash in a sea of information and options. Now, that information is being used by us to partner with artificial brains (AI) in ways that change the roles of communicators. Possibilities that once took decades will arise at the speed of thought.
Here, our panel and speakers will explore where those changes may take us, how we as radio amateurs may explore and pioneer it, and what spectrum use and policy changes we might expect in the next decade. Additionally, we will run the system in reverse and ask AI a different question--not how AI is useful as tool in ham radio, but what ham radio will become if AI optimized the system. John M. Suzuki is currently the Chief Executive Officer & Director at BK Technologies, Inc. He is also the President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at BK Technologies Corp. starting in 2023. Previously, he served as the President & Chief Executive Officer at EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. from 2015 to 2019. He was also the Senior Vice President-Sales at EF Johnson Technologies, Inc. from 2004 to 2011. Additionally, he held positions as a Principal at Ericsson, Inc. and Vice President-Sales at 3e Technologies International, Inc. From 2011 to 2015, he worked as the Senior Vice President-Sales at Avtec LLC. Mr. Suzuki holds an MBA from Duke University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa.
