This initiative celebrates industry professionals 35 years old and under who have a minimum of two years of experience in wireless communications. Your expertise and insight would be invaluable in helping us identify and honor the next generation of innovators shaping the field.

Judging will take place beginning in late-December 2025, with finalists announced by the end of January 2026. Honorees will be recognized during IWCE 2026 in March and at the RCA Banquet in November.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 Young Professionals Program!


Nomination Criteria

The Young Professionals Award, co-sponsored by IWCE and the Radio Club of America (RCA), recognizes rising stars making an impact in the wireless industry.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age: Nominees must be 35 years old or younger at the time of nomination.
  • Experience: Nominees must have a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the wireless industry.
  • Employment Area: Nominees should be actively employed in one or more of the following fields:
    • Public Safety Communications
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
    • Sales and Marketing
    • Commercial Networks
    • Satellite Communications (SatComm)
    • Broadcast
    • Education
    • Federal Sector
      (Note: These focus areas will be reviewed annually to ensure continued relevance.)

Evaluation Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate distinction through one or more of the following:

  • Leadership: Demonstrated initiative, mentorship, or influence within their organization or the broader wireless community.
  • Creativity: Innovative approaches or new ideas that advance the field.
  • Technical Contribution: Notable technical achievements or contributions to the art and science of wireless communications.

Overall Consideration
Nominees should embody the future of the wireless industry—individuals who have shown excellence, promise, and the potential to become tomorrow’s industry legends and innovators.
