MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, April 3, 2013—Forty years to the day after he helped launch the age of portable mobile telecommunications, the Marconi Society has announced that Martin Cooper is the recipient of the 2013 Marconi Prize, considered the pinnacle honor in the field of communication and information science. 

On Monday, March 18th a fascinating Webinar containing some early RCA wireless history took place.  The presentation surrounds the story of the first trans-Atlantic short wave message...which involved several RCA members and station 1BCG.
